NEWS for 2022 It is another moderate pecan crop for the people in central Oklahoma so we do not have much coming in again for our Custom Shelling operation. The problem is there are no employees to hire out there, so I have been doing all the cracking. Sorry I got backed up. Once the Holidaze were over I was starting to get cracking under control… Until I blended a finger. OUCH! The finger and hand are about functional now, but a long way off from being even remotely back to normal. At least the cracking is all caught up now!
I don’t mid saying it was the most stressful year ever. Mainly due to employee and supply issues… and the FINGER!!! But we aren’t alone… every (small) business owner I know was/is having the same issues. So we decided to cut our days and hours again.
We still have plenty of orchard grown pecans, peanuts and other nuts, and will have till long after the food crisis hits.
